Involved in the construction of the new high-speed train TGV-Est, commuting between Paris and Strasbourg, the railway station of Chelles-Gournay, located in the suburbs of Paris, has been completely renewed in the years 2006-7.
We have been chosen to manufacture and install a large clock, who welcome the pedestrians and travellers when they arrive at the station, according to the design of the architect Jean-Yves Mariez.
This clock has some special items, such as a crown made of aluminium, with machined numbers, and is back lighted with fluorescent tubes
The movement is also synchronised by the AFNOR NFS 87-500 time network of the station, to provide unique timing, as well as accuracy of official time.
