Four dials, each 5 meters (17 feet) in diameter, made of stainless steel to avoid corrosion due to marine salted atmosphere.
Each dial has twelve lighted marks, made of thermoformed Altuglas body and neon tubes inside. The hands are either made of stainless steel, with neon tubes on the surface.
A motor gear, with oil bath, drive the hands, which have been calculated, as well as the skeleton dial, to resist to winds up to 200 km/h (125 M.P.H)
The city hall tower, build by Auguste Perret, is today classified as « Historical Monument ». HUCHEZ did manufactured the firsts clocks, in the year 1963, according the design of this famous architect. After forty years of good services, they needed a complete overhaul. We kept the mains items, but the most advanced technologies have been used like radio-synchronisation, laser cut for most of the stainless steel parts.
